Sydney siege hostage Jarrod Morton-Hoffman has faced a Sydney court over allegedly attempting to steal $1000 of clothing.

The 19-year-old, who pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated break and enter, allegedly broke into clothing store American Apparel in Sydney’s CBD with friends Luc Baumgartner and Berk Atakan on June 26 last year.

The trio were arrested by police a short time later, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Sentencing submissions for the trio were meant to be heard today but the case was adjourned because of a busy court schedule.

Mr Morton-Hoffman was working at the Lindt Cafe on December 15 when Man Haron Monis took he and other Lindt workers and customers hostage during a 17-hour ordeal.
