An inquest into to the deaths caused by what's come to be known as the Lindt Cafe siege in Sydney has heard from the first police officer to arrive at the scene in December 2014.

Sydney siege inquest hears from first police officer on scene

An inquest into to the deaths caused by what's come to be known as the Lindt Cafe siege in Sydney has heard from the first police officer to arrive at the scene in December 2014.

NSW Police Senior Constable Paul Withers told the court he asked to go back into the building where the cafe was located after making contact with one of the hostages.
