Americans will wake to images of Sydney's landmarks as top-rating breakfast show NBC Today broadcasts live from the NSW capital.
Australian-born anchor Savannah Guthrie will broadcast live from the Opera House forecourt from 9pm (AEST) on Monday in an arrangement orchestrated by government tourism operator Destination NSW.
It's hoped appealing to the show's 5.6 million viewers will attract more US visitors to the state.
