World Vision Australia is just one agency working to provide relief at refugee camps in neighbouring countries such as Jordan and Lebanon.

World Vision CEO Tim Costello says these countries are struggling to accomodate the arrival of nearly 6,000 refugees each day, with makeshift camps being set up in the desert.

Mr Costello has just returned from visiting two of those camps at Zaatari and Azraq in Jordan.

He told Calliste Weitenberg the camps are growing at an unprecedented rate.
