Tabcorp extends NSW keno contract to 2050

Tabcorp will pay $25 million up front and an annual fee to the NSW government for the right to operate the state's keno contract until 2050.

Wagering firm Tabcorp has extended its keno contract with the NSW government until 2050.

The company says it will pay $25 million in the current financial year and subsequently will pay an annual fee of $3 million, rising to $4.5 million in 2022 and indexed at 2.5 per cent thereafter.

"The licence extension gives us the certainty to invest in the NSW market for the long term, working closely with our club, hotel and casino partners," chief executive David Attenborough said.

The random number game is available in more than 1,800 NSW clubs and hotels.
