Tabcorp hires CFO Newman from AusNet

Tabcorp has hired Adam Newman from ASX-listed energy company AusNet as its new chief financial officer.

Tabcorp has hired AusNet chief financial officer Adam Newman to fill the same role with the gaming giant.

Mr Newman, who will replace longstanding CFO Damien Johnston in October, has been CFO of ASX-listed energy company AusNet since 2013 and was previously with steelmaker BlueScope in Australia and the US.

"Adam brings deep experience in finance and operational leadership roles in complex environments," Tabcorp managing director and chief executive David Attenborough said.

Mr Johnston has been CFO since 2011 and Mr Attenborough thanked him for his service.

At 1046 AEST, Tabcorp shares were down 0.22 per cent at $4.47, while AusNet shares were 1.25 per cent lower at $1.895.
