The Australian Competition Tribunal has extended its deadline to make a determination on the Tabcorp-Tatts Group merger proposal, and now expects to make a decision by September 10.
The previous deadline was June 13.
Tabcorp, which has proposed a merger with rival Tatts Group to form a $11 billion gaming giant, says both companies are progressing the other government and regulatory approvals, and are working towards closing the deal in the third quarter of 2017.
