Transparency International wants G20 nations meeting in Brisbane later this year to commit to tackling monetary corruption, saying it could boost economic growth.

An international advocacy group wants G20 nations meeting in Brisbane later this year to commit to tackling monetary corruption, saying it could boost economic growth.

The Group of 20 major economies has lifted global growth targets by 2 per cent above current policy over the coming five years.

Transparency International Russia Director Elena Panfilova says it's estimated that corruption accounts for around five per cent of global GDP.

And she's told Kristina Kukolja Australia is a destination for corrupt wealth.
