Tactix sign Mystics netball shooter

Three-Test Silver Fern Bailey Mes is shifting from the Northern Mystics to the Canterbury Tactix for next year's trans-Tasman Netball League.

The Canterbury Tactix have further strengthened their attack for next year's trans-Tasman Netball League by signing Northern Mystics shooter Bailey Mes.

Three-Test Silver Fern Mes will join Malawi international Mwai Kumwenda in the shooting circle at the team who finished last in this year's championship after winning just one of their 13 games.

The Tactix have also retained experienced shooter/wing attack Anna Thompson for an eighth season.

Foundation player Thompson is the most-capped Tactix player with 90 games since 2008.

Mes, 25, recently returned to full fitness after knee surgery last year.

She has struggled for regular court time in four seasons with the Mystics, where she was used in a variety of positions.

Mes and Thompson both missed out on selection for the Commonwealth Games despite being members of the Silver Ferns' squad in recent seasons.
