Perth rockers Tame Impala and American hip hop star Kendrick Lamar have teamed up to record a song for the soundtrack to the movie Divergent.
Backwards is a featured track in the forthcoming sci-fi action movie along with songs from Ellie Goulding, Snow Patrol and Skrillex.
The film, starring Kate Winslet is based on the best-selling novel Divergent by Veronica Roth and will be the first in a trilogy, each based on one of Roth's books.
It's directed by Neil Burger from a screenplay by Evan Daugherty and Vanessa Taylor.
