Tasmania's premier and health minister have been cleared of allegations they interfered in the sacking of a Cricket Australia staffer who criticised the state government's abortion policy on social media.

Angela Williamson was in June dismissed by the sporting body after attacking the state Liberal government on Twitter for a lack of available abortion services in Tasmania.

An Integrity Commission report found there was "some contact" between the government and Cricket Tasmania in regards to Ms Williamson, including a conversation between Premier Will Hodgman and then Cricket Tasmania board member Paul Green in March last year at an awards dinner.

However, there was no credible evidence that Mr Hodgman or Health Minister Michael Ferguson tried to have Ms Williamson sacked, the report released on Wednesday determined.

"There may have been indications of discomfort from the government, but ultimately it was an independent decision of the board of Cricket Tasmania that led to Ms Williamson losing her job," the report reads.

The report also dismissed allegations the state government released Ms Williamson's personal information.

Mr Hodgman and Mr Ferguson were also cleared of making false statements.

Ms Williamson in early 2018 shared on social media her story about travelling from Tasmania to Victoria to have a termination.

She later tweeted on May 28: "So you share your story, hoping it convinces the gov to act urgently and five months later - NOTHING. NO meeting with the Premier. NO results...".

Ms Williamson described a speech on abortion by Mr Ferguson in state parliament as the "most irresponsible, gutless & reckless delivery in parly ever".

She was sacked from her government relations role on June 29, with CA noting the disparaging tone of her tweets.

Ms Williamson took her employer to the Federal Court over damages and loss of wages but reached a confidential settlement in August.

Mr Hodgman says the report's findings refutes smears levelled at him from political opposites.

Cricket Tasmania chief executive Nick Cummins and Mr Green were interviewed as part of the investigation, while the telephone records of Mr Hodgman and Mr Ferguson were examined.

The allegations were referred to the Integrity Commission by independent Legislative Council member Ruth Forrest.
