Tas playgroup centre targeted by arsonists

A playgroup centre at Glenorchy was vandalised before offenders set it alight, causing extensive damage, police says.

A playgroup centre was vandalised before being set on fire in northern Hobart.

Offenders sprayed graffiti on the fences of the playgroup owned by St John's Church on Friday night.

They then gained entry to the Glenorchy premises and lit a fire, causing extensive damage, police said.
