Teen critical after quad bike accident

A 15-year-old boy has been airlifted to hospital in a critical condition after falling from a quad bike at Oakville.

A teenager is fighting for life in hospital after falling off a quad bike on a property northwest of Sydney.

The 15-year-old boy was airlifted from a home at Oakville with head and chest injuries on Sunday afternoon.

Medical staff performed surgery to drain his chest and placed him in an induced coma after landing in an emergency helicopter.

The teenager is now in The Children's Hospital at Westmead in a critical condition.
