A US study has found teenage girls are nearly twice as likely to use electronic devices as boys when driving.
"Travelling at 65 miles per hour, for example, they can travel the length of a basketball court (without looking)," said Peter Kissinger, President of the AAA Foundation, the organisation that conducted the study.
"So if you take your eyes off the road just briefly and something happens in front of you, it can be catastrophic."
