A teenager has appeared in court charged with murdering two men in a drive-by shooting outside Melbourne's Love Machine nightclub.

Jacob Elliott, 18, is accusing of firing shots from an SUV outside the Prahran club on April 14, killing 37-year-old security guard Aaron Khalid Osmani and patron Richard Arow, 28.

The teen wiped away tears as he appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday charged with the men's murders as well as three counts of attempted murder.

His co-accused, 25-year-old Moussa Hamka is expected to return to court on Tuesday charged with offences including being an accessory after the fact to murder.

Four others were injured in the shooting.

Richard Arow's girlfriend, Rebekah Spinks, earlier revealed she had been about five metres from him when he was shot outside the club.

She described him as the "strongest man with the softest heart".

"What this has done to the family is actually so catastrophic and it doesn't get any better every day," she told a press conference last month.

Mr Osmani's family said they remained hopeful of finding answers for their son, brother and friend.

The black SUV Porsche allegedly used in the Love Machine shooting was found burnt out in the northern suburb of Wollert hours later.

Authorities have appealed for more information about a maroon Ford ute, seen leaving the scene of the burnt car.

Last week, police revealed they had seized a silver Suzuki Swift shown driving in convoy behind the Porsche.

It had been parked on South Yarra's Simmons Street, around the corner from the club and a second silver Suzuki Swift also parked in the same street was set on fire by mistake.

Elliott is expected to return to court in November.
