Telstra offloads final stake in Autohome

Telstra says it has received $US217 million from Ping An Insurance Group for its final Autohome stake at $US29.30 per share.

Telstra has offloaded its 6.5 per cent stake in car classifieds business Autohome for $A282 million. (AAP)

Telstra has offloaded its 6.5 per cent stake in Autohome for $US 217 million ($S282 million), ending its association with the Chinese car classifieds business.

Telstra says Ping An Insurance Group paid $US29.30 per share for the stake - in line with Autohome's volume weighted average price over the past 60 days.

Ping An Insurance Group had already paid Telstra $US1.6 billion ($A2.1 billion) in April 2016 for a 47.4 per cent stake in Autohome.
