Te'o marks NRL return on Souths bench

Ben Te'o has been included on an extended South Sydney bench for Friday night's NRL preliminary final against the Sydney Roosters after serving a ban.

South Sydney coach Michael Maguire has injected Ben Te'o onto an extended bench for Friday night's NRL preliminary final against the Sydney Roosters at ANZ Stadium.

The Queensland State of Origin forward is back from a four-week ban for a chicken wing tackle on Brisbane's Sam Thaiday in round 23.

Te'o - who will link with Irish rugby club Leinster at the end of the year - features on a seven-man bench.

The match will mark South Sydney fullback Greg Inglis' 200th NRL game since his 2005 debut for Melbourne.

South Sydney are fresh from a week off after downing Manly 40-24 in their qualifying final.

Souths: Greg Inglis, Alex Johnston, Dylan Walker, Kirisome Auvaa, Lote Tuqiri, Luke Keary, Adam Reynolds, George Burgess, Issac Luke, Dave Tyrrell, Kyle Turner, John Sutton(c), Sam Burgess. Interchange: Jason Clark, Ben Teo, Chris McQueen, Thomas Burgess, Ben Lowe, Luke Burgess, Bryson Goodwin (three to be omitted).
