Larry David has impersonated US Senator Bernie Sanders before, but on Tuesday it was the comedian who got played.
During the launch of the latest season of history series 'Finding Your Roots', host Henry Louis Gates Jr revealed the co-creator of Seinfeld shares DNA with the Vermont politician - most likely as distant cousins
But the Harvard Professor did not tell the duo directly, instead sitting them down separately to reveal their link using photographs.
"I hope it's a good athlete," David said before the unveiling.

"What the hell!" he exclaimed in disbelief after seeing Sanders' photo.
"You're kidding. That is unbelievable," Sanders said upon discovering his DNA link to David.
"Oh that's so funny. That is really funny... Alright, cousin Bernie," David said.
The comedian had played Sanders on 'Saturday Night Live', admitting to Gates Jr that he didn't have to put much effort into portraying the Brooklyn-born politician who talks "exactly like" David's cousin.
The show has previously shown actors Robert Downey Jr. and Maggie Gyllenhaal to be related, as well as married couple Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon.
The fourth season will air on PBS until December 19.
