The cross-border drug bust explained

A breakdown of where and when arrests have been made after police swooped on a drug-laden plane near the NSW-Victorian border.

THE CROSS-BORDER DRUG BUST

* Police swooped on a drug-laden plane in Deniliquin, NSW, close to the Victorian border on Wednesday afternoon

* Part of an eight-month investigation targeting bikie-linked criminals

* Since January, police have seized 38 guns, 100 ecstasy pills and small amount of ice

* Investigations ongoing

NSW

* 67-year-old Queensland pilot of the light plane arrested in Deniliquin

* 45kg of cannabis and 4kg of controlled precursor to the drug ice seized

* Three search warrants executed simultaneously in Hay, 120km north of Deniliquin

* Four men - aged 38, 29, 43 and 46 - arrested in Hay and charged with ongoing gun supply

* 10 Adelaide properties searched

* Six men aged between 26 and 52, who allegedly organised supply and transport of drugs by light plane, arrested

* Three more men - aged 26, 29, and 59 - and a 26-year-old woman arrested and charged with drug trafficking offences

* 18kg of cannabis seized, with a potential street value of $180,000

* 700 ecstasy pills seized, with a potential street value of $17,500

* Two firearms found

* Counterfeit currency seized

* Several properties on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane searched
