The first level of the Eiffel Tower has had see-through floor panels installed to celebrate the monument’s 125th anniversary.

Costing $43 million, the four small viewing sections are proving to be a thrilling experience for tourists.

Tourists will get a bird’s eye view from 57 metres high.

The refurbishment project took two years to complete and includes a museum of the tower’s history.

The iron tower is the world’s most visited paying attraction and had almost seven million visitors last year.
