Rachel and Simon Down are real life ghost busters.

If you have a ghost causing you trouble or a spirit you can't shake, they'll help you get rid of your paranormal friend.

For eight years, Rachel and Simon have been helping people remove spirits and ghosts from their homes.

They say paranormal activity can often be the cause of everyday problems. "Everybody has stuff happen in their lives, but we probably look at things from a completely different perspective," Mrs Down said.

"We look at things more from a holistic spiritual perspective. That actually people have problems in their lives because of interferences from other dimensions."

Removing ghosts can be a complicated task considering not everyone can see them. But Simon Down says he's always known he had a gift for the paranormal.

"I had a psychic ability as a child," he said. "I tended to just push it aside" "it wasn't nurtured, it wasn't encouraged."

Despite trying to ignore his feelings, Mr Down says he reached a point where he couldn't continue without exploring his paranormal ability. "I got to 20 [and] I realised that I really needed to turn the corner with this," he said.

"There were too many coincidences happening, there were too many things pushing me towards healing and helping people."
