Donald Trump is leading opinion polls for becoming the Republican’s front runner in the next US presidential election.

While some politicians are guarded with their use of social media, Mr Trump has shocked some and made others laugh with his social media accounts.

Polls by The Huffington Post suggest Trump’s popularity as the future Republican candidate has shot up in the last month.

The man who wants to lead the US after President Barack Obama's second term has an interesting persona on social media.

A recent post on Twitter shows Trump's face superimposed on an American flag alongside cash, the White House and what appears to be people wearing Nazi SS uniforms.
That tweet was later removed on Trump’s official Twitter account, after the original picture was revealed to contain re-enactors wearing Nazi symbols, but many other interesting posts are still published there and on his Facebook page.

Social media posts this year include Trump's assertion that the US should have a wall on its border with Mexico.
Make America Great Again is Trump's slogan.
Mr Trump has also criticised the Mexican government.
He has criticised rock legend Neil Young.

He criticised writers from the Washington Post and Forbes magazine, among others in the US media.
When Trump criticises opponents, it is sometimes unrelated to politics.
