Thieves have stolen an ATM from a north Perth shopping centre in a brazen ram-raid before setting their vehicle alight.

The offenders crashed through the main entrance of the Greenwood complex, attached a rope or chain to the teller machine and dragged it into the car park about midnight, police say.

They believe four bandits escaped in a second vehicle after torching the Nissan Navara ute they probably used to smash their way in.
