A new advertisement for luxury apartments in London has sent social media into a frenzy, with some labelling it as "terryifying" and akin to a horror film.
The 1.40 promotional video, for British property developer and contruction company Redrow Housing, features the trials and tribulations of a young urban professional as he battles the daily grind.
"The mornings that felt like night; the days that melted into months and years," the narrator intones. "The missed opportunities. The doubts. The need to be different."
The video then shows a montage of the young man grappling with various work and relationship challenges - not to mention extistenial angst - before he arrives home and surveys the London skyline from his balcony.
"Yes, they say nothing comes easy," the narrator continues.
"But if it was easy, then it wouldn’t feel as good.
"To look out at the city that could have swallowed you whole and say ‘I did this’. To stand, with the world at your feet."
"Does this remind anyone else of American Psycho?" asks one person in the video's comments.
Others took to social media to voice their disbelief.
