A deadly wave of violence has swept through Burma after an allegation against three Muslim men turned violent.

Locals claim the three men had raped and killed a Buddhist woman. Ten Muslims were killed in retaliation, homes were torched and tensions between rival gangs grew so violent that Burma's military was called in to help restore order.

The government has tried to separate Buddhists and Muslims, known as Rohingya, hoping that will help ease a situation that has since seen at least 80 deaths and displaced a hundred thousand people from their homes.
