Thousands of aged care inquiry submissions

Aged Care Minister Ken Wyatt has received almost 5000 submissions discussing what the aged care royal commission should cover.

Thousands of people and organisations have had their say on what the royal commission into Australia's aged care sector should investigate.

Aged Care Minister Ken Wyatt says he has received 4800 submissions on the inquiry's terms of reference, which the federal government is in the process of preparing.

Mr Wyatt is preparing to host a series of aged care round-tables in Sydney on Thursday, involving carers and family members of those in aged care, aged care providers and advocacy groups.
