There've been separate dog attacks in Sydney's west and northwest over the weekend.
A two-year-old boy has been treated for facial wounds in hospital after being attacked by a dog in Castle Hill.
The boy was taken to Westmead Children's Hospital yesterday afternoon after the attack.
The Seven Network reported he required stitches after being attacked by the family's husky.
In the western suburb of Castlereagh, two people were hospitalised with serious injuries after being attacked by two dogs.
Police say a man and woman returned to their Church Street home when they noticed two dogs inside their chicken coop attacking chickens and ducks.
The woman entered the coop while the man went inside to get some restraints for the dogs.
The woman screamed after being attacked by one of the dogs and then man ran into the coop to find the woman pinned to the ground.
The man was able to free her from the animal, however he was then attacked by the dog.
Eventually both dogs left the coop and emergency services were contacted.
The 27-year-old woman sustained a serious wound to her face and multiple bites to her arms and torso, while the 29-year-old man received a deep bite to his arm and lacerations to his hand and abdomen.
One of the dogs was found after the incident and destroyed and police say they're continuing to search for the second dog.
