Brisbane have secured midfielder Tom Rockliff's services for a further three AFL seasons.

The Lions' vice-captain, seen as the likely successor to Jed Adcock, will remain at the Gabba until at least the end of the 2017 campaign under the new deal.

It's the latest in a string of re-signings for the Lions after Sam Myles, Jack Redden and Josh Green have all signed new two-year deals in the past week.

Lions football manager Dean Warren hailed 24-year-old Rockliff's leadership and said the number of players re-committing to the club highlights the excitement under new coach Justin Leppitsch.

"Tom is not only a fantastic player, but a great leader and it's great news that he has extended his tenure for another three years," Warren said

"I think this week has highlighted just how much faith this group has in the future of our Club and our fans should be excited about the way this young group is developing."
