Reggie Jackson caught fire and the Oklahoma City Thunder cooled off the San Antonio Spurs.
Kevin Durant had 24 points and 13 rebounds, while Jackson matched a career-high with 23 points off the bench, and the Thunder snapped the Spurs' 11-game winning streak, 94-88, in a showdown of Western Conference powers on Wednesday night.
"Reggie had an unbelievable game tonight, something we expect from him," Durant said.
"He was aggressive all night getting to the rim and that's what he does."
Serge Ibaka collected 17 points with 11 rebounds, and reserve Jeremy Lamb added 12 points off the bench for the Thunder (10-3), which moved to 7-0 at Chesapeake Energy Arena following its fifth straight win overall.
"We take a lot of pride in our home-court," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said.
"Going into the game they'd won 11 in a row and were the hottest team in basketball and the way they score they're a hard team to guard. I thought our guys did a good job with our length making them miss shots and the defence was the key tonight."
After trailing by three at halftime, Ibaka scored 10 points and the Thunder took charge in the game-turning 25-15 third-quarter, while holding its visitors to 5-of-20 shooting for a 68-61 advantage entering the fourth quarter.
Jackson dropped in 14 fourth-quarter points, including eight to spark an early 10-4 burst, extending the led to 78-67 with 8 minutes 47 seconds remaining.
The Spurs went on a 9-1 run to pull within 79-76, two minutes later. But the Thunder responded, as Durant (seven points) and Jackson (six points) combined for all but two points in a 15-5 run to wrap up the win.
