Thunderbirds sign Jamaican netball star

Adelaide Thunderbirds have signed Jamaican defender Shamera Sterling for the 2019 Super Netball season.

Adelaide Thunderbirds' incoming coach Tania Obst has made her first big signing by recruiting Jamaican defender Shamera Sterling.

The 22-year-old fresh from winning the MVP in England's elite netball competition, has agreed to terms with Adelaide.

Obst is taking over as Thunderbirds coach next year from incumbent Dan Ryan, who is overseeing the club's worst season yet - winless after 12 rounds.
