Thursday night NRL returns for final month

North Queensland, St George Illawarra, South Sydney and Brisbane will host matches on Thursday night in the final four rounds of the 2015 NRL season.

Thursday night football will return for the final month of the 2015 NRL season.

North Queensland, St George Illawarra, South Sydney and Brisbane will host the matches, the NRL confirmed on Tuesday in its schedule for the last six rounds.

"We know there will be huge interest in those rounds as the teams battle for a place in the finals," head of football Todd Greenberg said in a statement.

"It will be a fitting finish to one of the closest competitions on record, and one which will likely keep us all guessing until very late in the season."

The Sydney Roosters will battle fierce rivals the Rabbitohs in a final-round Friday night blockbuster at Allianz Stadium, while Canterbury and the Warriors will close out the home-and-away season on Sunday, September 6 at ANZ Stadium.
