Thurston on track to play in Anzac Test

Johnathan Thurston says any soreness in his calf will force him to pull the pin on playing for Australia in Friday night's Test against New Zealand.

Johnathan Thurston says he's on track to play for Australia in Friday night's Test against New Zealand in Canberra.

But Thurston said if he feels a quarter of the soreness which led to him withdrawing from North Queensland's NRL loss to Parramatta last week, he won't play in the Anzac Test at GIO Stadium.

"The session I did this morning was high intensity and I didn't feel any soreness from it like I did last week. If it keeps going the way it's going I'll be fit to play," Thurston said on Monday.
