Richmond veteran Shaun Grigg says the Tigers still believe they can turn their AFL season around despite the club's disastrous start.

With just one win from their opening six games, Richmond are languishing in 15th place on the AFL ladder and face a tough task against reigning premiers Hawthorn at the MCG on Friday night.

The Tigers will take on the Hawks without injured skipper Trent Cotchin and star defender Alex Rance, who will complete a two-game ban for striking.
