Former Canberra prop Dane Tilse has accepted what Hull KR call "a sizeable" pay cut to stay with the club following their relegation from Super League.

The 31-year-old former Junior Kangaroo has become the 20th player to commit to the Robins in the Kingstone Press Championship under new head coach Tim Sheens after agreeing a one-year deal on reduced terms.

"I've really enjoyed my time at the club since I joined and I was eager to stay next season and work under Tim," said Tilse, who has played 48 games for Rovers over the past 18 months including the 2015 Challenge Cup final.

"I really want to play my part in getting this club back up into Super League where they belong."

Sheens said: "Dane's a big, strong prop and we'll need him to help lead the forwards next season."
