Wests Tigers centre Tim Simona admits he's received interest about a move to another NRL club but has committed himself to finishing his contract at the joint venture.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a pre-season move to Gold Coast as the Tigers attempt to create room in the salary cap in a year where over a third of their squad come off the books.

However Simona said he had yet to speak directly to another club about a possible move.

"I was surprised that other clubs have been offering, but I haven't spoken to anyone yet. That's my manager's job. I let him deal with that," Simona told AAP.

"At the end of the day, footy's a business. I understand if things don't happen your way. At the moment I'm concentrating on playing good footy for the Tigers.

"I'm still here for another year and that's the main thing. I'm focusing on playing good footy."

Simona is one of a boatload of names off-contract at the end of the season, including stars Aaron Woods, Mitchell Moses, Luke Brooks and James Tedesco.

The big four are likely to hold priority for the Tigers, however Simona is hopeful of nutting out a new deal that will allow him to remain a one-club player.

"The club's been there ever since I was a kid. I just want to perform each week," he said.

"That's my goal, be that consistent player. I've come from a shoulder reconstruction. I've been training hard, working my shoulder, trying to get it right, hopefully come round one I'll be there.

"I want to get the talk done as soon as possible. I just want to concentrate on playing footy. Hopefully it's done soon, but at the moment I'm not really worried."
