Timberwolves maul the Cavs in the NBA

LeBron James had a quiet night as the Minnesota Timberwolves trounced the Cleveland Cavaliers while Toronto Raptors and Houston Rockets won their NBA outings.

Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James was kept to just 10 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves romped to a 127-99 NBA win.

Andrew Wiggins had 25 points in three quarters, Jimmy Butler pitched in 21 points and kept James in check as Minnesota snapped a 12-game home losing streak to the Cavaliers.

Karl-Anthony Towns (19 points, 12 rebounds) and Taj Gibson (16 points, 13 rebounds) were tenacious around the basket for the Timberwolves, who outrebounded the Cavs 56-37 and had a 60-42 advantage in points in the paint.

James suffered his first loss at Minnesota since February 17, 2005.

Cleveland fell behind by as much as 41 points in the third quarter. That matched the largest deficit James has ever faced in the regular season, since a game at Orlando on April 3, 2009.

DeMar DeRozan scored 35 points, including a go-ahead three-point play with 26.1 seconds left in overtime to lead the Toronto Raptors to a 114-113 victory over the Brooklyn Nets.

The win came at a coast with guard Kyle Lowry injured late and forced off the court.

Seven Indiana Pacers players scored in double figures in their 109-96 NBA victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Domantas Sabonis had 17 points and 10 rebounds while Victor Oladipo, Thaddeus Young and Myles Turner all scored 15 points as the Pacers make it back-to-back wins.

The Bucks were led by Khris Middleton with 19 points and 17 from Giannis Antetokoumpo.

Elsewhere, Eric Gordon and Chris Paul each had 24 points and nine assists as the Houston Rockets beat the Chicago Bulls 116-107 and the New Orleans Pelicans overcame the Detroit Pistons 112-109 on the back of 30 points and 10 rebounds from Anthony Davis.

San Antonio got a great boost from LeMarcus Aldridge and Davis Bertans as they powered home over Sacramento.

Aldridge had 31 points and 12 rebounds, Bertans scored a career-high 28 and the Spurs came back from 13 down in the second half to beat the Kings 107-100.

Australian Patty Mills had 14 points and five rebounds from the bench for the Spurs.

In the night's final games, Golden State Warriors beat the Denver Nuggets 124-114 and the LA Clippers edged the Atlanta Hawks 108-107.
