Eighteen months after Pistorius shot dead his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day 2013, the star's fate now lies in the hands of South African Judge Thokozile Masipa. Pistorius has pleaded not guilty and maintains the shooting was an accident, claiming that he thought Steenkamp was an intruder.

On September 11, Judge Masipa found Pistorius not guilty of murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. The high-profile trial has been adjourned until Friday when the 27-year-old Paralympian will hear whether he has been found guilty of culpable homicide, a lesser charge roughly equivalent to manslaughter.
