Timeline of Phil Walsh murder case

Cy Walsh, charged with murdering his father AFL coach Phil Walsh, appeared before an Adelaide court on Tuesday.

PHIL WALSH MURDER CASE TIMELINE

* Cy Walsh, 26, allegedly stabbed his father, Adelaide Crows coach Phil Walsh, to death on July 3 at their beachside suburban home.

* Phil Walsh's wife Meredith was hospitalised with leg injuries.

* A knife allegedly used in the attack was found at the scene.

* Cy Walsh was taken to Flinders Medical Centre for psychiatric assessment.

* He did not enter a plea at a hospital bedside court hearing on July 4.

* He remains in custody at secure psychiatric facility James Nash House.

* Prosecutors have told a September 15 court hearing they're waiting on hair samples as part of toxicology evidence.

* Electronic evidence and witness statements are also being prepared.

* Cy Walsh to reappear in Adelaide Magistrates Court on November 3.
