Gold Coast outside back David Mead will join Brisbane next NRL season on a one-year deal.

He confirmed the move after the Titans' controversial elimination-final loss on Friday night to the Broncos.

Mead's future at the Titans had been the subject of much speculation after Jarryd Hayne joined the club late this season.

"Last night was my last game as a Titan," Mead wrote on Saturday on Instagram.

"My family and I will be joining the Brisbane Broncos for the year 2017. Although it's tough to leave this club, I'm excited for the next chapter of my career.

"I'll be forever grateful to this club for giving me the opportunity to play the game I love with some of my best mates."
