Titan Sezer quiet on Sea Eagles rumours

Gold Coast half Aidan Sezer says he doesn't know of any NRL club being interested in him despite a link to Manly.

Gold Coast half Aidan Sezer says he's loves playing at the Titans and isn't aware of any interest from rival NRL clubs.

Sezer is off-contract at the end of the season and was linked to Manly last weekend in a report claiming the Titans were preparing a bid for Sea Eagles' star Daly Cherry-Evans.

Sezer, a 23-year-old Canterbury junior, has been with the Titans since moving north in 2011.

He says he hasn't heard about any offers or interest from other clubs.

"I love playing up here and that's as much as I'm going to say at the moment," he said.

"I don't really know too much on where you're going there."

Despite the Titans reportedly being in the market for a marquee half such as Cherry-Evans, the club will start the year with Sezer and Daniel Mortimer as the playmaking combination.

Having returned from a serious pectoral injury at the back end of 2014 to partner Mortimer, Sezer says there's a lot to like about the developing combination.

"Mortsy and I really enjoy each other's company ... he's a terrier and he likes to get amongst things," he said.

"I enjoy playing outside him. He's really stepping up in pre-season and been a leader."

Both Sezer and Mortimer will be part of the Titans' squad for the Auckland Nines this weekend.

Sezer says the carnival will be a good break from the rigours of pre-season.

"Hopefully we can go out there, have some fun and perform well for our fans," he said.
