The NRL's road warriors, the Titans, are planning to book into a Gold Coast hotel to turn around their embarrassing home form at Cbus Super Stadium.
While the Titans boast the best away record in the competition, they have nabbed just two wins from nine matches on the tourist strip this season.
The 11th-placed club are desperate to reverse their fortunes at Robina where they have lost their past six matches, conceding an average 30 points per game.
So much so that coach John Cartwright is toying heavily with the idea of going into a mini-camp on Friday before they host Parramatta on Saturday night.
"We need to do something," said co-captain Greg Bird. "We need to do something to change up the the bad performances that we are throwing up in front of our home crowd.
"If it takes sleeping at a hotel and replicating that away-team atmosphere, I'll give it a go and hope it works."
The Titans' last win at Cbus Super Stadium was back in round six when they upset Brisbane 12-8.
In a strange contrast to their away record, which sits at 6-2 after their stunning 22-8 win over Newcastle on Sunday, Bird admits they have been terrible in front of their own fans.
Among the embarrassing losses have been respective 42-12 and 40-18 losses to the Wests Tigers and South Sydney who they later went on to beat on the road.
They simply won't make the NRL finals if they don't transform their home results.
"We have the best away record in the comp so we know we have the potential to beat these teams," Bird said.
"It's not like we're a failing team that's struggling to get wins.
"We need to play with the same passion and determination that we did last weekend."
Boosting the Titans' hopes is the return of Bird who has served a two-game suspension for a lifting tackle on co-captain Nate Myles in State of Origin's game III.
The Test and NSW back-rower played only one match for the Titans through the entire Origin period.
"I'm fresh now - that's the good thing to come out if it," he said.
