Gold Coast interim coach Neil Henry wants his future sorted by next week as the Titans' uncertainty threatens to force some of the NRL club's players out the door.
Veteran back-rower Mark Minichiello has already announced he's heading to English Super League club Hull at season's end while foundation player Luke Bailey is expected to retire.
Local products Cody Nelson and Tom Kingston are also off-contract and yet to make a decision on their futures with the club's coaching position yet to be filled permanently.
Henry, who has stated he would take the Titans job if it was offered to him, said the situation needs to be resolved soon.
"We've got a few question marks over a couple of players and until the head coach is appointed things are on hold," Henry said.
"Hopefully we'll get that resolved sooner rather than later."
Henry said he was aware that Nelson had already received a "couple of offers" from other clubs while Kingston had been offered a deal by the Titans but was yet to make a decision.
Nelson and Kingston will both hold onto their spots on the interchange bench for this weekend's trip to Auckland to play the Warriors.
Henry has named the same 17 which lost to St George Illawarra last weekend, including winger David Mead as 18th man while injured representative forward Dave Taylor continues to battle a calf problem.
Henry said the board was planning to meet on Friday and he hopes from that he'll find out whether he is their choice to coach the team permanently.
"They're considering other applicants, I suppose, as well and looking at different things," he said.
"Hopefully by next week I'll certainly know about my future."
