Toddler and woman die in WA crash

A toddler and a woman have died in a head-on collision south of Perth and police want anyone with information to come forward.

A two-year-old girl and a woman believed to be an American tourist have died after a head-on collision on a highway south of Perth.

The accident happened on Friday morning on the Albany Highway at Bedfordale.

The 60-year-old woman, who was a passenger in one of the cars, died at the scene, while toddler, who was in the other car, died in Princess Margaret Hospital on Saturday morning.

Three other people who were in the car with the little girl, all from Katanning, were seriously injured in the crash and were taken to Royal Perth Hospital.

A man, 61, and a 21-year-old woman from the other car were also taken to hospital.

Police would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the accident or seen the cars, a white Nissan Pulsar and a silver Mitsubishi Magna, before the crash.
