Toddler hit by car in NSW town

A three-year-old boy is in a serious condition in hospital after running out onto a road and being hit by a car in Coonamble, in regional NSW.

A toddler has been badly injured after being knocked over by a car in Coonamble.

The three-year-old boy was hit after running out onto the road in the regional NSW town.

He suffered a fracture to the base of his skull and has been airlifted to Sydney Children's Hospital.

The 67-year-old driver, who stopped to help the child, returned a negative breath test.
