Tom Burgess has rejected overtures to join his brother Luke at Manly to re-sign with South Sydney on a one-year extension.

Tom had been linked to a move to Brookvale as the Sea Eagles desperately seek to beef up their forward pack, and shore up their roster in the wake of the departures of Daly Cherry-Evans and Kieran Foran for 2016.

But the 22-year-old has again recommitted to Redfern.

Fellow prop David Tyrrell joined Burgess in pledging his future to Souths. He has signed a new two-year deal.

"I'm really excited about signing on for another year with the Rabbitohs," Burgess said.

"I'm really enjoying my time with the club, we've got a great set of lads here, and in the end the decision to stay is what I think is best for my career."
