A breakout performance against Essendon on Saturday has earned Greater Western Sydney young gun Adam Tomlinson the round 17 AFL Rising Star nomination.
The 19-year-old collected 23 possessions in the loss at Skoda Stadium, including a game-high nine marks and a goal.
It is only Tomlinson's second year in the AFL, having made his debut with the Giants in round one last year.
Coach Kevin Sheedy praised the centre half-forward, who now tops the club's marks tally so far this season.
"Last year Adam was in and out of the side but this year with another pre-season under his belt he has strung a number of games together and has taken 83 marks for the season," Sheedy said.
"We are pleased with his continued development and he is obviously enjoying being in Sydney and has re-signed until the end of 2015."
Tomlinson, who has played 11 matches in 2013, is the second Giant to be nominated this year following Lachie Whitfield in round 10.
