Now that he's no longer busy being Australia's least popular Prime Minister, Tony Abbott apparently has a lot of time to browse Gumtree.
The Liberal MP surprised a Sydney couple when he showed up to collect his newly purchased fridge from them over the weekend.
Abbott and his wife Margie bought the three year old Daewoo fridge for the bargain(?) price of $300 from Sydney design student Emily Hastings, who posted a shot of the politican picking up the purchase on social media.

"My husband with Tony Abbott the proud new owner of our 3 year old Daewoo fridge bought on gumtree for $300," she posted on Instagram.
Plenty of space in there for onions, we'd wager.
