Top listed firms shuffled after review

Fortecue Metals, Aristocrat Leisure, Evolution Mining, Macquarie Atlas Roads and A2 Milk have been bumped into higher indices by S&P Dow Jones indices.

Miner Fortescue Metals and gambling giant Aristocrat Leisure have been bumped into the 50 most valuable Australian listed companies, while Coca-Cola Amatil and Seek have dropped out.

S&P Dow Jones Indices on Friday announced the moves in the S&P/ASX 50 Index after a quarterly review.

Meanwhile, Gold miner Evolution Mining and toll road developer and operator Macquarie Atlas Roads Group have been added to the S&P/ASX 100.

Those companies took the place of liver treatment medical device company Sirtex Medical, and Blackmores.

Blackmores suffered slumping Australian vitamin sales in the first half of the 2017 financial year, confirming the end of its astronomical profit growth fuelled by China's demand.

In the lower ranks, dairy firm the A2 Milk Company took the place of the currency trader OFX Group in the S&P/ASX All Australian 200 Index.
