Top-ranked Ko splits with Aussie caddie

World No.1 Lydia Ko has parted ways with her Australian caddie Jason Hamilton after two successful years on the LPGA Tour.

World women's golf No.1 Lydia Ko sacked her Australian caddie Jason Hamilton.

The pair have won eight tournaments since partnering in early 2015, including the last year's Australian Open and Evian Championship, and this year's Kia Classic.

But the New Zealander has had only moderate recent success, failing to perform in her last three tournaments including a tie for 51st in this week's LPGA Championship event in Korea.

"All Lydia told me was she wanted a different set of eyes out there," Hamilton told Golfweek.

"These things happen, it's part of the game."

Hamilton will team up with Korean world No.8 Ha Na Jang.
