Top silk Cunneen won't face charges

The NSW Solicitor General says senior NSW prosecutor Margaret Cunneen won't be pursued over allegations she perverted the course of justice.

NSW senior prosecutor Margaret Cunneen won't be charged over allegations she perverted the course of justice.

The ICAC had tried to investigate claims the prosecutor advised her son's girlfriend Sophia Tilley to fake chest pains after a 2014 car crash to avoid a blood alcohol test.

But the High Court in April said the investigations did not fall within the scope of ICAC's functions.

NSW Solicitor General Michael Sexton SC said it wouldn't indict Ms Cunneen over the allegations.
